The 12 Laws of the Universe in Everyday Life

Using the 12 Laws of the Universe to help you get unstuck and see life's challenges in a new light! (June 7th 2026)

One of the most common things I hear from my coaching clients is 'I heard you say this so many times, and only now I finally understand what you meant!'

They don't mean to say I explain things badly... Just that you need to be ready to hear things in a different way to what you perceive them, to fully help you move forward with your problem or life, in general.

Today I want to share with you the 12 Laws of the Universe (which you may or may not have heard of before), so you can take any challenge you are experiencing in your life right now, and see how these help you look at things differently. In other words, help you get out of your head and open yourself up to hearing things differently (and in turn - get you to try new/different things).

OK, so the 12 laws of the Universe, in an order that makes sense to me. I encourage you to think of a challenge you're facing, and see how you can see it differently as you read through the laws.

Happy Untangling!

1. Law of polarity:

Everything in the Universe has two sides, and we need both of them to see the bigger picture: The good and the bad, the hot and the cold, the up and the down.
How to use it:
Look for opportunities even when you believe you are in a setback period. What is the flip side of what I am experiencing? What is this teaching me?

2. Law of correspondence:

Everything has a pattern. What we've done once, we've done twice. What goes on on the inside, is what is seen on the outside.
How to use it:
Allow yourself to explore where have you seen these patterns before. Why do you think they keep coming up? What will you do differently next time, now that you know why these patterns keep showing up?

3. Law of attraction:

Not the Secret.
You attract what you align with (and can't attract what you are not in alignment with...).
How to use it:
Focus on what you want to create rather than what you fear losing. Pay attention to the way you speak to yourself and notice where your beliefs help you miss out on opportunities and betterments.

4. Law of divine oneness:

Everything and everyone is connected. Your actions are not in silo, and you have the energy and power to influence and bring positive (yes, and negative) change into the world.
How to use it:
Ask yourself - how does my behaviour contributes to the environment I want to live in? Also, smile to people, smile to yourself, let love come in as it is meant to

5. Law of vibration:

Everything is energy and vibrates at its own frequency, including your thoughts and emotions. When your frequencies are high, you attract more of what is in alignment with you. When your energy is down, you attract down.
How to use it:
Pay attention to activities that elevate your mood, such as exercise, gratitude, music, or spending time with supportive people.

6. Law of inspired action:

Positive thinking alone won't cut it. You must bring actions to create a change and a forward movement.
How to use it:
After you visualise the life you want (or an aspect of life that you want) ask yourself - what is an action I can take right now to move towards it. For example, visualising the job of your dreams and then updating your CV to match.

7. Law of perpetual transmutation of energy:

Funny name but easy meaning. Any negative energy can be turned to a positive one. You can channel frustration into motivation, creativity, or problem-solving.
How to use it:
Don't believe everything you think. There is a reason why you are exactly where you are, and it's not victimhood! Instead, it's here to teach you something you've been ignoring. Turn that around!

8. Law of cause and effect:

Every action has consequences, even if you can't see it or don't immediately know what it is.
How to use it:
every decision you make (regardless of if the subsequent action is geared towards yourself or others), ask yourself what are the long term results of this decision.

9. Law of compensation:

You receive back what you put in in terms of efforts, service and actions.
How to use it:
Instead of thinking what can I gain by doing this, focus on the feeling you get by doing things right, living through your values and bringing kindness and attention to your actions and words.

10. Law of relativity:

Experiences are relative and often gain meaning through comparison and perspective.
How to use it:
Stop thinking you got it worse, or that people are better than you. You are exactly who you are and the way you are meant to be (if you want to improve for you then be my guest, but don't do it for others). Importantly, there will always be people or situations that are better than where you are right now, and those that are worse off. Use the energy of not being where you want be a source of objective drive, rather than fear/not good enough-base for change.

11. Law of rhythm:

Life move in circles. The highs and the laws are both natural.
How to use it:
Business, health, motivation, and relationships all tend to have seasons of growth and rest. Don't panic during a slow period. Recognise that change is part of the cycle. Also, stop assigning words such as 'good' or 'bad' to everything. Remember that things are always there to teach you things you couldn't have learnt otherwise.

12. Law of gender:

Everything contains both masculine and feminine energies. These are symbolic qualities, not biological sex.
- Masculine energy: action, logic, structure, decisiveness
- Feminine energy: intuition, creativity, nurturing, receptivity
How to use it:
Launching a project requires both planning (masculine) and creativity (feminine). Notice whether you need more action or more reflection in a given situation (and get rid of your ego that says you've got it both...)

***
Now put it all together with a challenge you are experiencing right now and see what new insights and wisdom are coming forward.

For example, if you're feeling stuck as a business owner, because business is slow. Or your health is not where you want it to be.
Summary of the laws:

Polarity: Find opportunities in obstacles.
Correspondence: Address internal fears that mirror external struggles.
Attraction: Focus on opportunities and growth.
Divine Oneness: Build genuine relationships.
Vibration: Maintain a positive, confident mindset.
Inspired Action: Take daily business-building steps.
Transmutation: Turn setbacks into lessons.
Cause and Effect: Make choices that support long-term success.
Compensation: Deliver value to customers.
Relativity: See challenges as part of the journey.
Rhythm: Expect ups and downs.
Gender: Balance strategic action with intuition.

Good luck :)

Dottie's Corner

You know these days where everything just comes together so perfectly? This photo was taken on one such day. I know I told you before about how much I love going to the green with my HUUMANS, how much I dig the sticks I find, etc, but the real reason why this day was so perfect, was because despite the rain, there were no slugs on the ground.
To be honest, I don't mind the slugs, but my person has a thing about them, and every time she sees one (or a snail), she jumps so high in the air, I would actually be very scared if it wasn't so funny! A good day!

I work extensively with people to help them transform their lives from fears, limitations and compromises, to harmony, alignment and joy, or in other words, helping people find natural healing to mind, body and soul.
