Feeling tired, fed up or unmotivated? Here are some ideas to try as you unblock your energy & your life (May 10th 2026)

Know the game 'Never have I ever'?
The rules are easy. You look at the list below, and give yourself a point for every item you 'have done' or 'have experienced'. Ready?
1. Felt overwhelmed
2. Felt mentally exhausted
3. Wanted to run away
4. Felt misunderstood
5. Wondered how you ended up where you're at
6. Felt emotionally trapped
7. Concluded that this is as good as it's ever going to get
8. Told yourself it's too late to change
9. Wished someone could come in and give you the day off
10. Wished for (some aspects of) a life do-over
There is nothing wrong with feeling any of these items above. Most of the time, looked at it from the right angle, all of these are nothing more than an invitation to try something different. Today, I want to delve a little deeper into 5 reasons your energy is leaking, and once restored, I have a hunch things will start picking up in ways you haven't experienced for a while.
So, here goes.
5 things blocking your energy
1. All roads lead to Rome. Also, you are Rome...
Somehow, you got yourself into a position where no one around you can do anything without running it past you first. They are either asking for permission, validation, advice, or a recommendation. You are happy with some of this, but wondering who is out there you can turn to yourself.
Consider:
(where appropriate) help your people stand on their own two feet. It might feel weird for a bit for both/all of you, but start small and show them they can grow their own wings. Delegate more * Ask 'what would you do'? * 'How would you handle this?' * 'What would feel more right?'... Slowly, people will learn to trust themselves and give you more breathing room to get on with your own thing.
2. The true direction of the situation
In other words, is it a 'me' problem or a 'you' problem? How come it is you staying up at night worrying about something that is not yours to fix? How come you are running scenarios in your head, starting from the mild-like scenario, to the full-blown, out-of-proportion movie you play in your head?
Consider:
Stay in your lane. Even if you see how it's all going to end (and unless you see a real danger to life, money, or property), trust that the people who are the actual actors in this scenario are in it for a reason. More importantly, they are here to use this situation as an important lesson that will help bring them to the next phase of their lives. If you don't truly have to, let them have their growth moment.
3. Oh Captain, my Captain (also known as 'hello EGO my old friend...)
Your ego is not your best friend, and was never meant to be the captain of your ship. Your ego (or negative voice, so we are absolutely on the same page) is always going to make it sound as if you are the most innocent person, and all the sh*t that is coming your way is THEIR fault, and you have nothing to do with that. Innocent, right?
Consider:
Your ego wants you to stay exactly where you are at right now. If you try to do something new, it doesn't know it can protect and preserve you. So it is making up lies about how terrible it would be to change, and how you should really continue as you are. This is NOT TRUE! Remember, when in doubt as to which voice you are listening to, the ego will not be able to answer the question 'can you be sure this is the truth / that this thing is about to happen', and when you listen to your soul, instead, you will always have the feeling of being divinely guided. (Feeling of fear vs feeling of flow).
4. 'Don't stop believing...' Unless!
Continuing from the theme of fear vs flow, the question is - what do you believe about this situation right now? Most of the time, we believe we are not good enough, too old to try or to change, believe we will fail and that our efforts will be for nothing, and the biggest false belief? That we have to have it all figured out before we act! HA!
Consider:
Someone once said, 'If you want to make God laugh, tell him/her/them your plans... Planning is important, setting goals is important, but above all, being flexible to follow what you know in your gut is true is the most important thing. For example, say you want to make a change in your life - a small one, or a big one, you decide. The first thing that is going to happen is your ego coming up to tell you that you can't. If there is a limiting belief in you that supports this, then you will find yourself following that belief. In other words, you won't allow yourself to do it.
5. Joy much?
There is often a script running in the back of our minds, telling us what we're should and shouldn't do. That's not a bad thing when it's the bigger questions like paying rent on time, etc., but absolutely questionable for things like the question of deservingness vs keeping your head down and in the story you are currently going through. Joy is not a recommendation, but something we should all be striving for a little more than we are. It doesn't mean buying joy, it means doing more of the things that make your heart want to sing a little. Like going for a walk by the river, or spending a couple of hours in your hammock, resting and looking after your own battery.
Consider:
Say a little more YES to the things that feel right, and a little more NO to the things you are doing just because this is the life you've been doing for a while. Connect with the people who see and celebrate you, get back into simplicity and remove toxicity in people, situations and ideas. You've got this. Also, you're allowed!
Summary - The missing link
At the end of the day, it's our attitude that defines how we look at our lives and what is happening in them. Sometimes things truly feel like they are out of our hands (so I am not necessarily talking about extremes), but there is always the invitation to reflect and ask yourself if you're where you want to be, and if not, then how to get there. We're getting on with our fears and ego, while treating our soul and our inner knowing like the enemy. Truth is, we all have a voice inside us that guides us towards the best life we can hope to have. If we care to listen to it, we will rise. If we choose to listen to our fears, false perfectionism (wanting everything to be perfect), or the beliefs we are meant to 'not make it', then that's what we will get more of, and hence the title of this piece, talking about reasons our energy is blocked.
Please remember, we have a choice. If you're struggling with figuring all this on your own and need some help, please get in touch!

This week, I did a new thing, recording a conversation in Hebrew with Sefi Dori about his ways of helping people heal from cancer by connecting with the emotions that contribute to it. (Watch with subtitles on, on YouTube)
'Eye-level Conversations' is a new platform where we explore the profound and personal journeys of those touched by illness, healing, and resilience. In today's episode, 'Cancer - not just a physical illness', guest Sefi Dori shares his approach and beliefs about cancer and the emotional, psychological, and spiritual transformations that arise from facing such adversity.
Sefi shares his ways of working with people going through a cancer-healing journey and his approach, which is strongly rooted in the belief that emotional events and unprocessed trauma are at the core of any chronic condition, including cancer.
More about Sefi:

One of the things I love most is meeting people who are deeply passionate about something meaningful to them, especially when that passion also brings beauty, thoughtfulness, or positive impact into the world.
I recently had the pleasure of getting to know Antonia Claudie, who creates truly beautiful and sustainable silk art. I wanted to share her work with you, firstly because you may simply enjoy discovering something unique for your home or workspace, and secondly because some of you may feel inspired to connect or collaborate with her creatively. It’s always wonderful to see what can emerge when like-minded people cross paths.

![]() | One thing I like a lot is when the family goes out and comes back with a ...TOY!!! For me!!! Gifts must be one of my love languages! I also love 'touch' - stroking and ear rubs. Words of affirmation are a favourite! 'Good Girl' can make my day, any day of the week! I like quality time as well, like going to the park, or just being allowed to nap in anybody's lap. I think I may have also invented this next one, but it is true; Actual treats! When they say 'you wann it?' I always, always do! I love love!! |
I work extensively with people to help them transform their lives from fears, limitations and compromises, to harmony, alignment and joy, or in other words, helping people find natural healing to mind, body and soul.
